Self Adhesive Butyl Waterproof Joint Tape for Baths & Showers
Isolbau tub tape is used for the permanent sealing of bathtub connections.
It is mounted between the edge of the tub and the wall and then tiled in.
 
If small stretches form in the silicone joint, the tub sealing tape prevents moisture from penetrating into the building fabric. This allows you to achieve more safety in the bathroom and in damp rooms.

Processing:
The substrate must be load-bearing, largely dry and free of dust, dirt and other adhesion-reducing and loose components. Breakout points on edges must be reprofiled with suitable repair systems, gravel nests and unevenness must be filled in. Separating components such as cement glue, loose coatings and pointed grain in the surface must be removed by appropriate measures (e.B. by sandblasting, repulsion). Clean the edge of the bathtub with a suitable grease remover. Mix the adhesive or mortar provided for the respective sealing measure in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, if necessary comply with ripening times and apply a ready-to-use mixture in a basic paint by means of tassel or radiator brush on the substrate. Observe the processing or pot times of the glue or mortar!
 
Cut off the appropriate section of the tub tape. Remove the protective cover from the butyl and carefully attach the adhesive strip to the edge of the bathtub. By means of scooters firmly press. Then insert the tape wrinkle-free into the wet adhesive bed and press the carrier edge well by means of spatula or smoothing trowel, so that the carrier material is completely penetrated by the adhesive/mortar. Then apply glue/mortar wet in wet as a top layer until the area of the carrier material is completely covered.
